I frequently run on the Rock Creek trail in Maryland for training. This morning was no exception on yet another warm and humid summer AM. This morning I passed another pedestrian going in the opposite direction when he said, “There’s a deer right there!”

I went out this morning to take a look at the beaver dam a little ways below Lake Needwood, along the Rock Creek Trail. With the sub-freezing weather we’ve been having, it was looking quite artistic with the interesting shapes from ice accumulation.
